COMMITTEES
EA committees carry out the important work necessary to ensure the effective operation of the Association and the successful advocacy of its members. Committees are made up of EA Board and general members. Learn more about each committee’s work below.
2023-2025 COMMITTEES

The Archive Committee is responsible for maintaining and documenting the history of the EA. In addition, the Archive Committee has the role of maintaining supplies leftover from various EA activities.

Manages the financial structure of the EA, such as by: developing annual budgets, vetting investment strategies, inspecting financial records, tracking expenses, and leading audits.

The Grievance Committee evaluates MOU discrepancies and other workplace concerns brought forth by EA members. Committee members work together to discuss the best plan of action and carry out the steps necessary for successful resolutions.

The Interim Bargaining Committee is in place to consider or evaluate changes to the MOU, or other changes subject to collective bargaining, while a current contract is in effect.

The Meet and Confer Committee evaluates and make recommendations on working conditions, employee-employer relations and other matters, including wages, benefits, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.

The Nominating Committee solicits nominations and prepares a slate of eligible and consenting candidates for each Board position up for election. Committee members typically first meet in August to prepare for upcoming elections in September.

The Social Committee is responsible for putting together all EA-hosted social activities, such as the annual picnic and children's holiday party. Some activities require working closely with Air District HR and management.
